Brief Job Description

The Club at Mediterra, a multiple award-winning private club located in Naples, Florida has an opening for Food Runners to join our dynamic team at our Beach Club location in Bonita Springs.

Food Runners are responsible for expediting food and running food to tables and on the beach to members and guests with a focus on excellence, consistency, and the member/guest experience. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of member and guest service with a focus on total customer satisfaction. Maintaining professional decorum in all interactions with membership is essential.

The Person We Are Looking for Will

• Greet members and guests

• Work in collaboration with other teammates to deliver members/guests expectations

• Maintain a clean and organized workstations

• Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by leadership

• Must be able to carry waiter tray up and down stairs

• Function as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff

• Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies)

• Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to members/ guests.

• Have full menu knowledge

• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards

• Prepare for the day's events and/or restaurant service

• Assist with banquet service

• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by leadership.

• Assist with various steps of service pertaining to both banquet functions and restaurant dining

• Working within a true team-oriented environment

What We Would Like You to Have

• Three (3) months of previous experience working in a private club or high-end dining establishment required

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

• Must be able to lift and/or carry 30 pounds

• Available to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays

• Excellent customer service skills

• Friendly, outgoing disposition

• Attention to detail

• This position will primarily work no more than 35-40 hours per week for full-time servers, and 10-25 hours per week for part-time. However, based on required service levels, the hours are subject to change.
