Job Description

What You Will Accomplish

Transports guest and their beach gear to and from the beach area using provided pedicab. Gathers, loads and secures beach gear such as towels, chairs, surfboards, etc. and ensures guests are properly seated in pedicab. Follows all traffic and safety rules while transporting. Assists with set up of chairs and umbrellas at beach and cleans/replaces items to proper storage areas upon return.
Keeps pool area tidy by picking up used towels and keeping towel area stocked with fresh towels. Delivers towels to individuals upon request. May assist with clearing used dishes and trash.
Keeps pedicabs clean. Performs minor maintenance and repair as needed.
Welcomes guests by greeting them (in -person or by phone) in an enthusiastic and professional manner, answering questions and responding to requests. Gathers, summarizes, and provides information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.
Maintains knowledge about local entertainment, tours and points of interest and provides information about transportation, tickets, and directions. Keeps current information about car rentals, airlines, transportation services, etc. Directs guest to rooms and facilities by showing locations on a hotel map. Calls Bell person or other hotel staff to assist as needed.
Effectively deals with internal and external customers, some of who may require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger. Collects accurate information and resolves conflicts. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of any problems, potential safety issues, or unusual situations so prompt corrective action may be taken. Communicates with other departments to fulfill guest needs.

What You Will Bring

Prior customer service or concierge experience
Ability to pedal a bicycle/pedicab carrying up to 500lbs in passenger/gear weight for up to 8 hours a day required.
Valid drivers' license in good standing with clean driving record required.

Ability to serve needs of guest through use of the phone, computer and face-to-face. Contacts sometimes contain confidential/sensitive information so requires ability to use discretion.
