The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Advanced Quality Organization within Supplier Quality & Performance Management has opening for a Supplier Quality Specialist(Associate, Mid-Level or Senior) within the Requirements Consumption Review (RCR) Team in Multiple Locations.

An RCR is a prevention-based early quality involvement review conducted at supplier facilities, designed to ensure that suppliers have consumed purchase document requirements and engineering definition. The candidate will be responsible for facilitating and conducting RCRs, as well as leading a cross-functional team before and during the execution of this activity.

Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the following US cities and states: Wichita, KS / Oklahoma City, OK / New York, NY / Huntsville, AL / Titusville, FL / New Orleans, LA / Nashua, NH / Austin, TX.

The selected candidate will be required to commute using a personally owned vehicle to suppliers within a 75 mile radius of their home address. Additionally, the selected candidate will be required to travel to suppliers in their state of residence and within the North Atlantic, South Atlantic, and South Central United States, including potential travel to parts of Canada. Frequency of travel is estimated at 10 working days per month, including overnight stays.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates and conducts Requirements Consumption Reviews within the supply base

  • Leads cross-functional teams in dynamic situations

  • Identification and documentation of actions

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.

  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.

  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.

  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.

  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.

  • Resolves routine issues and concerns.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 1+ year of experience in a quality job role

  • 1+ year of experience in Supplier Quality processes

  • 1+ year of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

  • Current valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle for business reasons

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 2:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 3:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for associate level (Level 2): USD 65,450 - 102,350

Summary pay range for mid-level level (Level 3): USD 82,450 - 127,650

Summary pay range for senior level (Level 4): USD 96,050 - 148,350
