To learn more, visit https://www.bcu.org/About-Us/Careers The Jr Technical Analyst is responsible for the resolution of First level support requests on all BCU technology platforms and Network/Server Administration Responsible for the resolution of First level support requests on all BCU technology platforms. Key to success in this position is the ability to troubleshoot complicated technical issues, follow-up and communicate on open issues, identify escalation requirements. Must be able to document, prioritize, and participate as a team member.

First level support for hardware and software platforms.

First level support for telecom and network incidents First level support for incidents related to in-house applications, handling IT incidents and requests received via telephone, email or Service Desk application (Service Manager). Follow procedures and documentation of problem/incident resolution and escalate to third level support as appropriate. Incident logging through the Help Desk application and managing/prioritizing workload Support citrix environment for end users Adhere to defined SLA's.

Fully participate in team development and efforts toward team goals. Provide management with timely updates. Work with external vendors in providing solutions and solving technical problems.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associates degree in computer science/information systems or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. Windows server operating systems (multiple versions) and Active Directory Services Strong written, verbal, team, and customer service skills.

Ability to respond to customer complaints and management inquiries. Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain documentation. Ability to effectively present information to management in a concise and direct manner.

Ability to generate documentation on computer systems and software functions. Must be able to work as part of a team and share knowledge and experience. Ability to understand and apply mathematical formulas as may be required for effective computer operations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and apply solutions to problems based on information obtained BCU Shared Values. We act with INTEGRITY.

Summary: The Director of Legal Operations will be a senior level attorney with relevant experience in banking and bank lending matters. This position will manage two paralegals tasked with legal document processing, trust, POA, complaints and contract review. The position will have responsibility for, but will not be limited to advising business partners on a wide range of bank/Credit Union legal issues including: deposit account issues, loan documentation, problem loan workouts and bankruptcy, bank regulatory matters, corporate governance, litigation, employment and other miscellaneous legal issues. The role will interface with outside legal representation when necessary and coordinate lobbying and legislative efforts as needed. Legal risk strategy and assessment is also a key function for this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide forward thinking in-house legal advice to the BCU Board of Directors and Senior Management team on a variety of matters including legal developments relevant to the credit union and financial services industry (including applicable laws, rules and regulations related thereto) and other emerging legal risks. * This includes the ability to anticipate and assess risks relating to safety and soundness, reputational, regulatory and legal issues. * Manage and train a staff of paralegals, overseeing their work and providing them with coaching, feedback and direction. This entails reviewing and advising on non-standard levies, garnishments, writs, citations and subpoenas received from all states and Puerto Rico. * This will also include researching and responding to member complaints received through the IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and Better Business Bureau. * Review terms and conditions of vendor and other legal contracts, advising business owners and making recommendations as appropriate. * Review cases of threatened and asserted litigation made against the credit union. * This will include evaluating defensive strategies and managing and coordinating with outside counsel. * Support member service by providing legal advice to staff on deposit account and negotiable item issues, oversee the review of trust, representative payee, and Power of Attorney documents received from members, and assist with deceased member account issues. * Support other Departments as necessary, including but not limited to, Consumer Lending and Mortgages for loan related matters; Collections for foreclosure, repossession, bankruptcy and loan workout issues; and Human Resources for employment concerns. Provide applicable legal training to credit union staff and management, when necessary. * Conduct specific legal and factual information research on an as needed basis. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD), must be a licensed attorney in good standing – Illinois required to be obtained within 12 months. * At least 5 years of relevant experience in a financial institution or in a law firm. Litigation experience is beneficial. * Overall knowledge and experience with Federal and State banking laws and regulations is essential. Intellectual property experience is a plus. * Strong working knowledge of third party financial services vendor contracts commercial law, corporate law and real estate and lending matters. General knowledge of employment law is a plus. * Must have ability to make sound decisions based on legal judgment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. * Ability to identify and differentiate both legal and reputational risks and advise management as appropriate. * Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers a must; must have the presence and substance to establish confidence and credibility with credit union leaders; team player; able to work in multi-functional groups; willing to assist others as needed. * Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Must possess a high degree of autonomy with the ability to supervise, prioritize duties, adapt to changing circumstances, meet deadlines, mediate difficult situations, and resolve questions/problems in a timely, efficient manner.
