Are you a good fit for this BCS Refrigeration Technician; 1st Shift job?

To excel as a BCS Refrigeration Technician, you must possess a diverse set of skills to tackle the challenges of maintaining our production facility. Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals and blueprints is essential, along with a solid understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC maintenance, and PSM requirements. Your expertise in areas such as motor controls, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and welding will be highly valued as you keep our plant support systems operating smoothly. A First Class Stationary Engineer license, predictive maintenance knowledge, and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations are also key assets for success in this role. With your electrical, electronics, or HVAC degree and at least five years of maintenance experience, you'll be ready to make a significant impact in our fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Math and reading comprehension to understand and interpret technical manuals
• bulletins
• blueprints and schematics
• •Must be proficient in both of the following areas:
• -Ammonia refrigeration system safe operation
• maintenance
• repair
• HVAC system maintenance and repair
• and meeting PSM requirements
• -Maintenance and repair of plant support systems including boilers
• air compressors
• high pressure hot water
• plumbing and equipment movers
• •Must be proficient in at least 3 of the following areas and have basic knowledge of the others:
• -Maintenance and repair of motor controls
• general industrial wiring and hardware
• and electrical troubleshooting
• -Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems including pneumatics
• bearings
• seals
• gears
• chains
• sprockets
• pipe fitting
• and appropriate lubrication of mechanical systems
• -Basic Mig and Tig welding for repair purposes
• -The use of shop machinery including mills
• lathes
• drill presses and normal industrial tools for repair purposes
• •First Class Stationary Engineer license.
• •Understands Predictive Maintenance concepts & can interpret PdM findings to ensure appropriate repairs are planned/executed
• •Available for occasional travel to support technical development or other company needs
• •Available for working any shift in a 24/7 food manufacturing operation
• •2 years electrical

• •5 years Maintenance experience in manufacturing
• preferably in the food industry
• •Able to defuse conflict in emotionally charged situations
• •Experience with ammonia refrigeration system operation
