Job Description:

Salary: 12 month position; salary commensurate with experience.

Position Available: 7/31/24

Reports to: Director of Student Services and Special Education

Job Goal: The BCBA provides behavioral, social and academic support for students through direct instruction, training of certified and non-certified staff, and program design through the directive of the IEP and PPT process and with the collaboration of the student's team.

Qualifications: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meets the BCBA Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts

  • Acts as a liaison between ABA therapists and Director of Student Services and Special Education

  • Provides support and training for ABA therapists

  • Provides training for non-certified support staff

  • In collaboration with the PPT team, plans and implements programs to address students' individual needs, develop programs, assessment tools, and data collection tools,

  • Complete FBA's and design BIPs and monitor progress

  • Documents academic, behavioral, and social/emotional areas of student performance with data collection and in compliance with the IEP dates.

  • Plans assessment strategies to elicit specific evidence of student learning of intended instruction outcomes at critical points in the lesson

  • Attends and reports at PPT meetings, parent/teacher conferences and team meetings to design programs and monitor progress

  • Consults, and collaborates with Special Educators and Related Services personnel to provide expertise in understanding FBA's, BIP's, Modifications and Accommodations for their students

  • Promotes student engagement and independence in learning and facilitates a positive learning community

  • Engages in continuous professional learning to impact instruction and student learning. Engages in on-going consultation, supervision and continuing education with professional development agencies and within the school
