LPN Licensed Practical Nurse or RN Registered Nurse needed for the weekend BAYLOR PROGAM. Baylor nurses work two 16 hour shifts on the weekends and receive an EXTRA 8 hours of pay!

This is an awesome program for weekend LPNs and RNs to work 32 hours and receive an EXTRA 8 hours of pay!

7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Job Knowledge and Responsibilities for LPN Licensed Practical Nurses and RN Registered Nurses:

Under the direction of the Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing Services, responsible for supervision of assigned staff and providing quality nursing care to residents to maintain or attain the highest practical level of functioning. Coordinates nursing care in accordance with Facility policies and procedures, state requirements, Department of Health regulations, and Federal Health Care Administration

regulations.

Qualifications of RNs and LPNs

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing

  • Current nursing license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state.

  • Must have current CPR certification.

We are seeking an Licensed Practical Nurses LPN Charge Nurse for the Baylor Program. Baylor nurses work 16 hours on Saturday and 16 hours on Sunday and receive an additional 8 hours of pay. Baylor nurses receive 40 hours of pay for working 32 hours. This is a great full time position for nurses who want to work on the weekends and off during the weekdays. Licensed Practical Nurses on the Baylor program are supervised by the Unit Manager/ ADNS/ DNS General Description for LPN Licensed Practical Nurses Baylor Program Under the direction of the Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing Services, responsible for supervision of assigned staff and providing quality nursing care to residents to maintain or attain the highest practical level of functioning. Coordinates nursing care in accordance with Facility policies and procedures, state requirements, Department of Health regulations, and Federal Health Care Administration regulations. Essential Duties: * Contributes to Facility quality assessment and improvement initiatives. * Develops and updates instant and comprehensive Care Plans as needed. * Transcribes, clarifies, and implements physician's orders. * Administers and monitors resident medications and treatments per physician's orders. * Maintains accurate medication administration records and treatment administration records. * Verifies medication cart is secure and clean. Secures narcotics per Facility policy and state regulations. * Communicates status of residents to incoming licensed personnel according to established procedures at shift change. * Performs medication inventory at the beginning and end of the shift with another licensed nurse and immediately notifies supervisor of discrepancies. * Documents residents change in condition; develops, documents, and implements appropriate nursing interventions; and notifies physician and appropriate persons as needed. * Updates and maintains accurate resident clinical files. * Conducts personal physical examination of residents for skin breakdown upon admission and as assigned. * Supervises, trains, and delegates job tasks to certified nursing assistants and unit clerks. * Communicates status of residents, new admissions, scheduled appointments, assigned baths, restorative instructions, changes in specialized diets, and other individualized patient instructions to certified nursing assistant staff at shift change. * Verifies resident rooms, therapeutic equipment, and nursing areas are clean and organized. * Responsible for managing resident meal times and providing appropriate supervision. * Verifies supplements, snacks, and fluids are passed per protocol and schedule. * Makes rounds and verifies completion of job tasks assigned to certified nursing assistants. * Responsible for accurate documentation of resident information * Completes employee and resident incident report forms. Qualifications: * Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current nursing license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state. * Must have current CPR certification. * Previous work experience in a long term care setting preferred.
