This position is for a summer internship for a graduate or undergraduate student in an accredited mechanical engineering program. Candidate must have a knowledge of heat transfer and experience in building mathematical models and numerical methods.

The intern will be tasked with the following items:

• Develop transient heat flow model for simulating heat transfer in automotive batteries

• Perform laboratory testing to correlate model predictions with testing data

• Analyze testing data and report on findings

• Work with engineering team to develop intuitive outputs to describe modeling predictions

• Develop presentations analyzing testing results and modeling performance
