BATCHING LEAD JOB DUTIES:
Maintain all CIP and Cleaning Logs; Test all rinse waters for pH
Plan and coordinate daily tank use for finished product
Conduct inventories of staged ingredients and reconcile them against upcoming production schedule. Notify Production Management, of any discrepancies between staged inventory and plan.
Assist inventory planning with any inventories and cycle counts as needed
Train new batching operators and refresher training for all operators.
Direct and assign batching activities, so that there is a ready supply of finished product for the filler lines when it is needed.
Stage and Pre-weigh raw materials for batching process
Perform maintenance work on all equipment in batching area as needed
Performing ATP swabs after CIP on batching equipment.
Responsible for the facility's food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results.
Maintain the water treatment system, including the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane system, the process water storage tank, and the carbon tower(s) and polishing filter(s) system, and document this information on the appropriate control documents.
Understand and follow plant safety rules, including wearing of PPE, safe lifting techniques, safe machine operation.
Make adjustments to batches (Brix, Acid, pH, Solids, Color, Density).
Accurately document lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations.
UHT OPERATOR JOB DUTIES:
Heat treat batches per the run scheduled/order.
Ensures Fillers are supplied with high quality product in the correct scheduled order
Heat treatment process (up to 3 systems simultaneously, CIP and cleaning of equipment)
Responsible for performing daily verification checks for Critical Control Point (CCP) of temperature and hold time. (Cut in and Cut-out, indicator checks, magnet checks and screen checks)
Responsible for taking immediate corrective actions when dealing with Food Safety issues and reporting issues to the Supervisor and/or Manager
Fill out daily logs, (CIP, pasteurize record/wheel chart, etc.)
Keep accurate records
Effectively communicate issues to the Quality team and Plant Management
Assist Shift Lead and Supervisor as assigned
Operate the plant in a safe & efficient manner
Follow and monitor GMP, HACCP guidelines, Injury & Illness Prevention Program, Food Safety & SOPs procedures
Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with all supervisors, leads, employees, and management
Assist maintenance on PM's of equipment, rebuild of valves, replace valve gaskets
Minimum Required: High School Diploma/GED.
2 years Batching experience
1-3 years' experience in a beverage processing industry
Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, multi task and time management
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
Must be able to follow and communicate directions.
3-5 years - experience batching and pre-weighing
Primary shift will be assigned however applicant must be flexible to work any shift.
Preference will be given to individuals that processes high energy, proven positive track record and those that are already trained to run the various pieces of equipment.
Ability to speak, write, and read English is a must. Spanish is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft programs and Redzone application.
