Batching Specialist

The Batching Specialist (PAPP) is responsible for sorting and bundling account payments by state in order to assist Accounts Receivable Team Members in posting payments to the appropriate patient account.

Essential Functions Summary:
When the mail arrives, the Batching Team divides the payments received into databases or lockboxes according to type of payment. The PAPP assigned to that specific database or lockbox sorts the mail into specific categories such as; private pays, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tricare, etc. Once pre-sorted, the mail is opened and bundled into practical quantities determined by the type of payment and/or the special requirements of each database or lockbox. Each batch is encased by a Batch Sheet describing the date, database and type of payment.

Position reports to: Batching and Posting Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Effective, efficient, and timely sorting of incoming mail into the appropriate database or lockbox.

  • Accurately pre-sort the mail for the assigned database or lockbox into payment types to expedite processing.

  • Open mail for the assigned database or lockbox and accurately bundle the payments into practical denominations based on Team Policy Procedures

  • Fill out accompanying Batch Sheets for each bundle of payments.

  • Review all checks and correspondence designated "Unable to Locate". Return those "impossible to identify" back to sender with form letter requesting more information.

  • Establish and maintain an accurate understanding and application of the Client Manual as it pertains to the Batching PAPP job function.

  • Maintain acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality as specified in company and departmental policies.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to organize work and meet established deadlines.

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

Skills/ Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ten-key by touch 8,000 to 10,000ksph

  • The ability to read, speak and write in the English language in a clear and concise manner.

  • 6 months experience using a computer.

Reporting to the Manager of Creative Strategy, and working closely with the Sr. Creative Video Strategist and Consulting Creative Strategist (Team Lead, Video & Events), the Studio Production Specialist will manage and serve as in-house production specialist for the video and photography studio space on HCA's Corporate Campus, responsible for beginning-to-end production of studio projects, including photography, videography, editing, and delivery to clients, along with executive/leadership headshots and HCA Healthcare video archiving. This role will establish and uphold brand standards for all studio developed content. General Responsibilities: * Serving in all production capacities (audio, camera, editing, and delivery) for videos using the studio in Building 2 on the Corporate Campus—these could be educational/lecture video, executive presentation interviews, panel discussions, among others. * Serving as resident executive and leadership headshot photographer for photo sessions in the studio and various other photography needs * Photography retouching, editing and delivery * Establishing and executing video brand standards for studio-produced videos * Managing the transfer of historical HCA Healthcare videos into usable video formats * Archiving and logging both historical video and usable b-roll footage from current productions, creating a brand-standard video library * Versioning of videos for markets/divisions/facilities * Providing production and post-production support for various other video productions * Managing Studio A/V equipment * Creating a system and process for scheduling use of the studio and managing Creative Service department and client studio schedule * Intaking and managing studio client project requests * Managing studio inventory, props and equipment Portfolio: In order to be considered please submit an online portfolio along with your resume Competencies: Professional: Strong video production and post-production skills.
