SportsEngine is looking for an innovative basketball & tech mind to join our content team. This entry level part time position is based in our Minneapolis, MN office.

Community Specialist Role and Responsibilities

  • Implement developed strategic content plan hyper-focused on spring/summer basketball coverage.

  • Work directly with sales team to create, cultivate and help demo leads in all basketball market segments

  • Develop strong understanding of platform operations, specific to basketball and league management

  • Update each content site during tournament management shifts

  • Display strong understanding of social media correspondence, interaction and growth

  • Meet and/or exceed department metrics and goals leads, new sites, sites in specific segments

  • Update connected sponsored sites for current seasonal operations

  • Communicate with a minimum of 20 potential clients each day through social media accounts

  • Gain advanced product knowledge to better handle high-level clients within market segments

  • Create new content for advanced media sites as manager delegates

  • Maintain accurate daily record generated leads and demos created

  • Other duties as assigned

Community Specialist Qualifications and Skills

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Strong customer service and telephone skills required

  • Amazing multi-tasking abilities with consistent and timely follow-through

  • Very strong internet skills and high comfort level using web based applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment and a strong work ethic to effectively manage your time to drive sales within your territory

  • Experience in software or web application sales is preferred

  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM system is a bonus

This person will be working directly with the Digital Content Manager as well as with clients and the internal team to deliver content that will attract and engage readers on our client's web properties. Typical responsibilities include generating landing page copy to promote whitepapers or webinars, drafting copy for nurturing emails, writing and editing blogs, with potential to write new content for webpages and drafting ebooks?
