The Basic Machine Operator I - Urgent Care supports urgent care offices with patient x-ray services. Assists physicians with patient examination, procedures and treatment.

This position supports high volume and/or specialty providers. Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab. Follows up on test orders and reports results to the physician and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, inventories clinical and drug supplies.

May obtain clinical, financial and demographic information. Create and maintain patient charts. File charts and reports.

Performs other duties as assigned. Required specific skills also includes medication protocols.

This Basic Licensed X-ray Machine Operator position will be performing 90% medical assistant duties (room patient, obtain chief complaint/reason for visit, vitals, blood draws, injections, EKG), and other clinical duties on a daily basis. Previous medical assistant, urgent care experience preferred, or must be willing to be trained in these additional clinical duties. A state of Florida X-ray License is required for this position.

The clinic hours for this BayCare Urgent Care location are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The Work Schedule for this position is a twelve (12) hour shift 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (or until last patient leaves) Monday through Friday, and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (or until the last patient leaves) on Saturday and Sunday with a Two Days On, then Two Days off Rotation. This will include every other weekend.
