POSITION SNAPSHOT: Ensures Guests have an unparalleled experience by providing fast, friendly service and being attentive to Guests' needs.

NITTY GRITTY DETAILS:

  • Deliver an unparalleled Guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun.

  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.

  • Creates a warm, fun atmosphere for Guests and Team members.

  • Adheres to company's sanitation procedures.

  • Maintains responsibility for personal bank and ensures all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change, and maintaining adequate cash and coin for making change.

  • Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests.

  • Assesses Guest demeanor and identifies when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager.

  • Follows all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product, control costs, and maximize Guest satisfaction.

  • Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately.

  • Greets newly seated Guests' in a friendly and timely manner.

  • Accurately takes Guests' food and drink orders.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of all menu items and is able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation.

  • Enters orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges.

  • Responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and completing station side work at the beginning and end of their shift.

  • Must demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account of all monies at the end of each shift.

  • Ensures food is properly garnished and delivers trays to the designated bar areas, as well as other sections in the restaurant, as needed.

  • Works quickly and efficiently adhering to "Full hands in, Full hands out" philosophy.

  • Participates in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand.

  • Completes bar inventories and daily requisition sheets as requested and required.

  • Completes opening/closing duties in a timely manner.

  • Assists in party set up and breakdown.

  • Assists other Team members as needed or as business dictates.

  • Busses and resets tables as needed.

  • Ensures ongoing Guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, prebussing as necessary, and responding to Guest needs in a timely manner.

  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company Team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate and help keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.

  • Listen to hear Guests' orders and needs, and then communicate with Guests verbally and with other Team members verbally via Micros system.

  • Must be friendly and able to smile frequently.

  • Restaurant and/or bar experience preferred, but not required.

  • Must be skilled in effectively communicating with Guests in order to generate enthusiasm about the D&B experience.

  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.

  • Dressed in proper dress code requirements, looking neat, clean and professional at all times.

  • Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Report to work when scheduled, on time and in proper uniform, including nametag.Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink.Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet.Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times.Obtain outlet keys from Service Manager's office.Complete opening side duties: a) Check quality and amount of all bar stock and supplies by using checklist. b) Complete opening inventory sheet. c) Requisition all necessary supplies. d) Transport supplies from storeroom to bar. e) Stock ice in bar. f) Set up bottles in display cabinet and speed rail. g) Prepare garnishes. h) Stock glassware and paper supplies. i) Set up ashtrays with matches. j) Prepare mixes. k) Check condition and cleanliness of blender, shaker and other tools. l) Check temperature of refrigeration units and glass wash machine. m) Change date on credit card imprinter at opening shift. n) Prepare bowls of bar snacks; place on bar and tables at 6:00 p.m. o) Set up candles/centerpieces; place on bar and tables at 6:00 p.m. Inspect cleanliness and condition of bar, guest and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.Greet members and guests by name and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/upselling techniques.Input orders into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by kitchen.Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute food orders to kitchen.Ensure that all drink orders from servers are accurately rung into the P.O.S. system before giving drinks to them.Prepare all drink orders for guests according to outlet recipes.Provide club service for designated beverages.Serve drinks to guests.Retrieve food orders from kitchen and serve to guests.Open and serve wine/champagne bottles.Prepare and serve cappuccino and espresso.Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests even when busy.Maintain positive guest relations.Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.Handle guest complaints following the six step procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.Answer outlet telephone within rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bartop, tables, service areas and outlet itself.Replace ashtrays with 1 butts with clean ashtray by using capping method.Remove soiled wares from bartop and tables to dishwashing area.Present guest checks and process payments. Count all empty bottles by type and legible document such on the requisition form; attach transfer slips/spill report and place in manager's office.Legibly document pertinent information in outlet log book.Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.Count bank at end of shift; complete cashier reports and drop receipts; secure bank.Return outlet keys at end of shift to Service Manager's office.Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.Complete all closing reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to supervisor.Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.Clear each course following procedures and event specifications.Remove all tabletop items, linen and equipment from the function room as designated by function requirements and in accordance with departmental standards.Set up, monitor, refresh and breakdown coffee breaks, receptions and buffet tables for specified functions according to group requirements and departmental standards.Complete closing side duties: properly store all reusable goods, breakdown all goods as specified in departmental standards, clean all equipment as assigned, restock items for next service, remove all dirty linen and transport to Laundry, marry and stock all condiments according to procedures.Secure storage areas and meeting rooms.Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work and storage areas throughout shift.Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
