  • Greet guests in a timely and professional manner while exhibiting excellent guest service skills.

  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and be able to make recommendations.

  • Accurately take beverages orders from guests and deliver within established time frames in the bar and lounge area. At dine-in locations, this may also include food items.

  • Prepare beverages that are consistent, and not deviate from procedures and ingredients outlined in recipes. Pour beer and wine to specific portions.

  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques.

  • Verify the age of all guests who purchase alcohol in accordance with company policy. Limiting sales only to guests who are at least 21 years of age.

  • Ensure that all state, local, and company guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol are strictly adhered to. Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only.

  • Complete all transactions accurately and within the designated guidelines.

  • Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar and lounge area, including related equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.

  • Complete all deep cleaning and assigned tasks prior to the end of shift.

  • Work effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

  • Follow instructions for the safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials.

  • Perform all additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Uphold AMC's business practice standards and ensure compliance with company policies and programs.

  • Maintain regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Enters drink and food orders into register/POS, collects payment, and makes change. Responsible for all cash payments through their respective restaurant. As an ambassador of Eataly products and services, the Bartender is responsible for helping to create and maintain quality experiences for each guest that comes to Eataly. Eataly ambassadors are expected to actively engage with guests and spend quality time with each customer. Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities) Description 1. Receives drink and food orders from patrons. 2. Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room. Serves wine and bottled beers or draws draught beer from kegs. 3. Ring food and drink orders into register. Takes payments from bar guests and makes change if necessary. Takes cash payments from restaurant servers and makes change if necessary. 4. Arranges bottles and glasses to make an attractive display and merchandise drinks. 5. Maintains a clean and sanitary bar that meets Department of Health standards. Minimum Qualifications Must have basic knowledge of beer and wine. Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money. Must be age 21 or older (unless state law permits younger age in NY.) Training/Registration/ Licensure/Education High school graduate desired or equivalent. Physical Effort Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to four hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to cheerfully communicate with bar patrons. Mental Effort Knowledge of beer, wine and food. Wine pairing skills are useful.
