Barista

The Barista is the master craftsperson at Commonwealth Joe Coffee Roasters. Blending art and science, the Barista meticulously prepares high-quality coffee with friendly professionalism.

The Barista also provides exceptional customer service and assistance with other coffee shop responsibilities as needed. We are looking for Baristas who would like to work part-time (12-20 hours a week). There is potential to move into a full-time position, if interested. We’re a fast-paced, collaborative, coffee-centric startup offering the potential for rapid professional growth and development.

About You You LOVE coffee You are outgoing and engaging, highly professional, willing to learn, give strong attention to detail, and are intellectually curious. You are interested in becoming a coffee quality expert, learning everything from espresso to manual pour-overs.

Essential Functions Maintain a positive presence as the first face customers see at CWJ and provide excellent customer service through the coffee-making process. Complete and retain on-the-job training in the art of coffee making.
