We are searching for a talented Bariatric Advocate

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day Shift, 8:00am

  • 8:30am start time

Location: General Surgery

  • Wareham, MA; Occasional rotation to Fall River location

Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision and direction of the Practice Manager or designee, act as point-of-contact for bariatric patients from the beginning of their patient experience until they finish with what is a very complex procedure/process. Advocate for new bariatric patients seamlessly throughout their time in the bariatric program with all appointments/testing/insurance approvals. Facilitate patient experience through complex program requirements. Manage proper referrals to community health systems/physicians for consultations and testing. Responsible for coordinating insurance pre-authorizations. Perform various office, clerical and related duties.

Qualifications

  • Equal to the completion of 4 years of high school is required. Good computer and typing skills are required.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment are required.

  • Three or more years of medical office practice experience is required.

  • Knowledge of insurances and community resources is preferred.

  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay Range

USD $20.24 - USD $34.52 /Hr.
