POSITION OBJECTIVE
As the Bar Manager, you will oversee the efficient operation and management of the hotel bar, ensuring impeccable service and memorable experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of beverage quality, service, cleanliness, and ambiance within the bar area. The Bar Manager will lead a team of bartenders fostering a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to the Salamander Collection policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operational Management:
Manage day-to-day operations of the hotel bar, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and quality control.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to ensure they meet established standards of excellence
Staff Leadership:
Recruit, train, and supervise a skilled team of bartenders and bar staff.
Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication, coaching, and team-building activities.
Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs while ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
Guest Experience:
Uphold the hotel's service standards and ensure exceptional guest service delivery at all times.
Address guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, striving for swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
Actively promote and upsell beverages and special promotions to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue.
Financial Management:
Monitor bar revenue and expenses, including budgeting and cost control measures.
Implement strategies to maximize profitability and achieve financial targets.
Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records of stock levels and purchases.
Training and Development:
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of bar staff.
Stay updated with industry trends, new products, and innovative techniques in mixology and beverage service.
Encourage continuous learning and professional growth among team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel environment.
In-depth knowledge of beverages, cocktail preparation, and presentation.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.
TIPS certification preferred
Union Experience preferred
