This role sets up banquet functions and special events following established procedures and directions in the Banquet Event Order. Keeps banquet storage area clean and orderly.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Must have strength to carry heavy load, up to 100 lbs.

  • Must have speed and accuracy to maintain maximum efficiency.

  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team member.

About the role:

  • Set up banquet functions and special events as specified by supervisor.

  • Move tables and chairs.

  • Set-up buffet tables for display.

  • Set-up tables and chairs according to function.

  • Set-up and thoroughly clean chaffing dishes.

  • Responsible for vacuuming and sweeping floors after functions.

  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents self as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.

  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

A few more things:

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen and food service areas.

  • Must be able to use the following chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing all Banquet areas.

  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

  • Must be able to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware.

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.

Depending on experience, pay starts at $17.00 per hour.
