A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BANQUET COOK
As a Banquet Cook in the kitchens of the Baltimore Country Club, you are part of a culinary staff with exceptional standards. You are passionate about good food and exceeding our members' and guests expectations.
Each shift, you prepare food items for Club hosted and Private events including breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, holiday events, and special parties. You carefully follow recipes and work hard to ensure the quality and consistency of the food and that it is ready in a timely manner. You also serve members and guests by working at carving stations and buffet lines.
In addition to the proper preparation of food, you ensure its properly stored and handled. You inspect food prep and serving areas regularly to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
You love the camaraderie that comes with working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly-run kitchen. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are never bored and time goes by quickly.
At least two years of culinary experience in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent Food handlers card Experience with a variety of dining venues such as fine dining, buffets, grill stations, and/ or display cooking.
Experience working in a Country Club, Catering, or fine dining experience is strongly preferred, but not required. Do you work well as part of a team?
Do you have excellent customer service skills and a love for hospitality? Do you have good communication skills and the ability to memorize information easily? Can you read and follow directions well?
