As a Banquet Captain, you will: Shift: Varies Pay: $18.00 per hour + Service charge

WE LOVE OUR WORK.

• Promotes and maintains all steps of the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program with each patron and employee (eye contact, hi- greeting, goodbye as a departure).

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow-up on assigned tasks, and able to follow directions.

• Trains and supervises staff and aids in the recommendation of termination decisions, as well as in the disciplinary process.

• Promotes superior customer service including addressing and resolving guest and employee complaints.

• Responsible for setup/break down/resetting of the conference spaces.

• Responsible for catering marketing events.

• Coordinates employee events.

• Possesses knowledge of P&L and budget reports.

• Establishes par levels and maintains inventory of banquet items such as plates, cutlery, and linens.

• Aids in cost control, staffing schedules, and ongoing training.

• Ensures efficient Banquet operation according to company standards.

• Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

• Maintains compliance with health and safety standards.

• Performs special services as required and other related duties as assigned.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, rewarding and coaching employees, addressing concerns, and resolving problems.

• Has direct supervision of 50 employees.

• Applicant must be at least 21 years of age or older.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of three years of related experience and/or training in a banquet/restaurant environment.

• Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a banquet/restaurant environment.

• Demonstrated ability to directly supervise and aid in the operation of a high-volume food service department.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).

• Must have basic sanitation and food handling knowledge and excellent customer service skills.

• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.

• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• Must be able to obtain Serve Safe & TiPS certification.
