Starting Pay: $11.25/HR (plus tips)

The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing all banquet operations. Supervising the activities of all Banquet Food Servers and Bartenders in the function rooms during assigned shift.

What does a Banquet Captain do?:

• Coordinates with meeting planners and convention officials prior to event to ensure requirements are being met.

• Holds pre-function meetings to ensure that all employees have pertinent information and station assignments.

• Supervises the activities of all Banquet Food Servers and Bartenders in the function rooms during assigned shift, ensuring all functional job duties are performed according to established departmental policy/procedure.

• Trains new employees in all F&B standards & procedures and ensures that all employees continually apply training techniques.

• Monitors banquet function(s) as assigned and informs Supervisor/Manager of any problems that need to be addressed.

To be successful as a Banquet Captain, you'll need:

• Posess excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to ring in orders and settle checks on Point of Sale system.

• Previous Food & Beverage server experience a plus.

• Previous leadership experience preferred.
