THE JOB:
As a Banquet Captain, your primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of day-to-day banquet services. You will work closely with Banquet Assistant Managers and Catering Managers to ensure the seamless execution of events, from staffing and room layouts to menu implementation and operations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Collaborate with Banquet Assistant Managers on staffing ratios, room setups, menu implementation, and event operations.
Work closely with the Catering Manager to coordinate service for events.
Review Banquet Event Orders to fully understand client and catering manager plans, creating detailed event diagrams.
Communicate with support departments to finalize food, beverage, equipment, power, and room setup details.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience catering and banquets or related field
Has extensive experience in banquet services and event coordination.
Is highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Is proactive, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
