Responsible for the overall profitability and efficient operation of the banking center. Commits to annual deposit, savings, loan referral, and customer retention goals for the banking center.

Establishes and implements an annual sales and marketing plan to achieve targeted goals. Responsible for hiring, developing and motivating personnel ensuring all staff are sales and service focused. Ensures adherence to established security procedures and reporting requirements, and ensures that personnel comply with established bank operating procedures and practices.

Responsible for sales development activities including STEP sales training, referral training, sales coaching and other activities. Creates a teamwork environment to ensure that quality service is provided, sales goals are met, and operations and accounting requirements are satisfied. Sets an example for the staff in the area of customer service and sales. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

The Private Banking Product Manager is responsible for working with the business line leaders assisting the execution of the strategic business initiatives of Private Banking. This would include ensuring the competitiveness of existing products and systems, evaluating new products and systems, performing vendor analysis, providing input to product marketing plans, helping prepare business cases for new products and assisting in prioritizing initiatives. The Private Banking Product Manager will participate in designing and driving the execution of the strategic direction of assigned products. They will work closely with Private Banking Senior Management, Vendors, IT, Project Managers, Business Line System Analysts and others to accomplish this effort. In coordination with implementation of enhancements, the Private Banking Product Manager will conduct product training and transitioning product support to the individuals responsible for the general day-to-day support of the product. Representative Duties * Product Strategy The Private Banking Product Manager is responsible for working with partners, in various roles, to assess overall product offering. They are expected to know, understand, and influence decisions, including those that have budget implications. They are responsible for helping develop a product specific strategic plan, product concepts and business cases that align with the strategic direction of the business line. Must secure Private Banking and Executive Management approval for new products and services. * Product Communications & Training The Private Banking Product Manager will be responsible for partnering with CTC Marketing and Private Banking Senior Management to develop marketing communication plans including mailings, e-mail campaigns and website messaging. Product Management is responsible for accuracy of all product-related information and product positioning in all correspondence and communications. In addition, the Private Banking Product Manager is responsible for communicating enhancements and/or process changes both internally and externally. As a result of in-depth knowledge, Product Managers often become a company-wide resource for product training, customer inquiries, sales presentations and off-site client visits. The Private Banking Product Manager will also collaborate with the Training team on building appropriate systems training. * Relationship Management The Private Banking Product Manager is accountable for establishing and fostering internal and external partnerships to support corporate initiatives related to the assigned products. The position will serve as a point of contact for vendor relations with respect to new products and services and major enhancements to existing products and services. This includes coordination of securing legal and business unit approval of all contracts with vendors providing products and services. The Private Banking Product Manager may be asked to satisfy special requests, such as special reporting, client specific requests and on and off-site client visits. * Research and Analysis It is imperative that Product Managers stay current on changing and emerging technologies and trends in the industry to ensure that Private Banking remains current on industry specific product offerings and technologies. This will be accomplished by participation in industry and product specific educational functions, analyzing research and customer surveys to assess and conducting marketplace and competitive monitoring to identify trends, gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities and next generation products. The Private Banking Product Manager will conduct product line review and rationalization including profitability for new product development. The Product Manager is expected to know and understand product infrastructure and applicable legal and/or regulatory rules to ensure a competitive and compliant product. They are accountable for assessing new products prior to initiating development work with the objective being to insure proposals fit with overall business strategy and client service requirements. * Development & Implementation The Private Banking Product Manager partners with business line resources to validate new ideas and set development priorities. The incumbent is accountable for insuring implementation teams meet stated goals and objectives for delivery. Additionally, they influence implementation of new products or enhancements and solve for product support after implementation. The Private Banking Product Manager is responsible for documenting and reviewing new policy and procedures in addition to creating development product training plans and/or job aids for staff to ensure a smooth product implementation. The position also manages application testing; develops test plans, test scripts and completes acceptance testing for system upgrades and projects of varying degrees of complexity. The Private Banking Product Manager creates and manages implementation plans for production roll out. Education * Bachelor's Degree in business preferred or equivalent work experience * Two to five years of leadership experience in finance or investment management industry preferred Experience * Strong coaching, mentoring, and training skills * Possess strong business acumen and the ability to make timely and sound business decisions * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Proven ability to build and lead teams of a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds to achieve significant results * Ability to resolve problems and identify and drive process improvements * Ability to set aggressive yet achievable goals and monitor and drive results Time Type: Full time Commerce Bank Kansas City MO
