Position Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Bank Clerk. As a Bank Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, performing various banking transactions, and assisting customers with their financial needs. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the banking industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments

• Assist customers in opening new accounts and provide information on various banking products and services

• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper balancing of cash drawer

• Maintain knowledge of bank policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem-solving

• Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs

• Assist with fraud prevention and detection by monitoring account activity and reporting suspicious transactions

• Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and provide exceptional service to customers

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong numerical skills and proficiency in retail math

• Experience operating a cash register or handling cash transactions

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers

• Knowledge of basic financial services, including loan origination, debits, credits, and cash management

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of banking software systems

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle difficult customer situations professionally
