Basic Purpose:

Handle secondary market trading activity through surveillance of the secondary trading market and soliciting and offering bids on selected trading opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Solicits bids and generates offerings from secondary trading desks on loans targeted for purchase and sale.

  • Generates trading ideas for portfolio managers by analyzing information gathered through relationships with secondary market trading desks and other data sources.

  • Serves as coordinator for all portfolios' additional long-term asset purchasing capacity. Coordinates the timing of closings with documentation and portfolio administrators.

  • Provides primary oversight of relationship with two pricing services. Regularly monitors reasonableness of price indications through extensive market contact. Solicits prices from various sources when situations require.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related trading experience in leverage lending industry.

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team, which includes the ability to be flexible and adaptable.

  • Ability to constructively interact with both retail investors and brokers, and institutional investors, including oral and written presentations.

WHAT WE NEED We are seeking a Programmatic Trader to join our Digital Media team in Boston. The Programmatic Trader will be responsible for all aspects of delivery for programmatic campaigns. The opportunity is to join a new and growing team as we build our trading desk to service new and existing clients. You will help drive success for a broad range of digitally savvy advertisers in a fast-paced and client focused environment. Working within a close network of traders, you will be responsible for proposing, implementing, monitoring and optimizing advertising campaigns in programmatic platforms (DSPs) for your own portfolio of clients. WHAT YOU'LL DO Campaign Optimization: * Daily campaign pacing adjustments to deliver campaign budgets and ordered units * Daily campaign optimization using BI (Business Intelligence) tools and excel based data analysis * Weekly analysis of top performing domains * Minimum weekly analysis of 3rd party statistics Reporting Daily: * Reporting updates for Programmatic Strategy Manager * Weekly reports to agency partners * Weekly report of management statistics for their campaigns (performance, pacing etc.) * Ad hoc reporting requested by senior traders * Familiarity of MediaMath and The TradeDesk trading platforms Career Development: * Develop an understating of A/B and split testing methodologies * Deploy testing methodologies on campaigns under the direction of Programmatic Strategy Manager * Actively take part in new product testing and implementation * Develop an understanding of the wider programmatic ecosystem and the modern media agency * Keeping abreast of industry developments, learning new technology platforms to provide recommendations to client teams WHO YOU ARE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or in an analytical or quantitative discipline * Minimum 2 years' experience in media trading; programmatic / RTB space required * Hands-on experience working in self-serve Demand Side Platforms: Google DoubleClick Bid Manager, TheTradeDesk, DataXu, Amazon Advertising Platform, Adobe/TubeMogul, Sizmek, AppNexus, MediaMath, etc. * Experience with ancillary technologies: DMP, ad servers, tag management, analytics, contextual targeting and research tools * Understanding of campaign success metrics: conversions, pacing, target CPA's, secondary conversions * Experience with regular reporting, collaborative strategic planning, and performance management * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Microsoft Access, Word and PowerPoint * An understanding of online delivery technology, especially marketing technology (e. g. cookies, adservers, etc.) * Good knowledge of digital advertising landscape and audience buying * Strong analytical/quantitative skills with the ability to draw insights from large data sets DESIRED SKILLS: * Work experience in an agency strongly preferred, but not required * Experience with ad serving solutions, tag management and operations, including types of tag, their differences and what to use in certain scenarios * Familiarity with viewability measurement (MOAT, IAS, DoubleVerify) and audience measurement (Nielsen DAR) * Familiarity with attribution modeling * Continued desire to increase knowledge and skills around programmatic technology, digital and online media * Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to use the results of investigation and analysis to make effective strategic decisions * Project and time management skills in organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail and process oriented * Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Havas Edge Boston MA
