Dalton Public Schools is seeking a band director for Dalton High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Successful applicants will have a strong background in marching band, concert band and jazz band.

He or she must also have effective communication skills, work well as part of a team, and develop strong relationships with students, parents and other staff. We are seeking a band director who has experience in growing and sustaining a superior band program, as well as building the musicianship of individual students involved in the band program. The applicant should be able to work well and effectively with the other band directors and music teachers in the district.

Qualifications:

To be qualified for this position an applicant must possess or be eligible for Georgia professional licensure in Music (P-12). Official transcripts, professional certification, and all test scores required to validate education and licensure. The Band Director position is not open to alternative route candidates.
