Associated Recreation Council, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is looking for a dynamic Ballet/Creative Dance Instructor to share their talents with the community. Bitter Lake Community Center is hiring a ballet instructor who is able to teach children ages 3-9 the techniques of dance and ballet in three 45-minute dance classes. Must have had experience working in a classroom setting with the public. Must be interested in teaching Pre-Ballet to ages 3-4 and Ballet and Creative Dance to ages 4-7.

Location: Bitter Lake Community Center

Schedule:

• Winter 2022: Saturdays 11:00am-11:45am; 12:00pm-12:45pm; 1:00pm-1:45pm

Start date: Saturday, January 15, 2022

Pay range: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour DOE

Requirements:

• Over 21 years of age

• Must have experience with teaching ballet to 3-9 year-olds

• Ability to create and lead beginner and immediate level ballet and creative dance lesson plans

• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19

• If hired, must pass a criminal background check

• If hired, must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid photo ID

• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
