You're all that - and more - which makes you perfect-as-pie for a Bakery Clerk position with Dierbergs. In this entry-level role, your responsibilities will include:

• Stocking, packaging, ordering and food handlingall aspects of maintaining the bakery

• Taking customer special orders over the phone and in person

• Embracing a higher level of responsibility as you deal with all aspects of the department

• Learning about bakery products and being able to communicate your knowledge

• Making sure our display cases are well-stocked and look showroom-worthy-after all, it's Dierbergs, and our customers have fine taste

What you need to succeed

• A friendly, customer service-oriented personality to provide best-in-class service that Dierbergs is known for

• Basic math and computer skills

• Good penmanship and steady hands (no baking is involved, but you'll write messages on cakes)

• Willingness to take on more responsibility as needed

• Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (refrigerator and freezer)

• Ability to follow safety and food-handling guidelines to keep the work area safe and clean

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
