Bakery Clerk

If you enjoy baked goods in a gourmet store environment, you will love our Bakery Clerk position! We have an immediate need for a PT Bakery Clerk in our Port Jefferson Station store.

Our Bakery Clerks create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Bakery Clerks should be friendly, greet and be courteous to customers and work with management and other associates to provide a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment

• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with the NYS Standards as well as QA standards

• Keep floors clean and clear of debris and spills

• Greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance

• Maintain and properly use all department equipment as require

• Rotate product to ensure freshness

• Ensure accurate signage for the department

• Prepare trays to Company's and customer's satisfaction.

• Perform all duties in accordance with Local, State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the Bakery operation.

• Perform all duties in accordance with Company rules, policies, safety requirements, and security standards and all Local, State and Federal health and civil code regulations.

• Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.

• Ability to work in a sometimes hot, hectic work environment
