Description:

Backhoe operator positions are responsible for safely and effectively operating backhoes used in the installation of utility infrastructure. There must be an awareness of surroundings and comfort working with trench boxes and around existing underground utilities.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years experience operating 100,000+ pound excavator

• A minimum of 3 years experience digging and setting pipe

• A minimum of 3 years experience digging with trench boxes

• A minimum of 3 years experience digging around underground utilities

• Excellent communication skills including a positive attitude

• General knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry

• General knowledge of mechanical operations of heavy equipment
