About the Role

As Backend IT Infrastructure System Administrator you will be responsible for planning, developing, operating and securing of the IT environment of our production plant and for supporting the local IT team with regards to all IT topics. Furthermore, you will make sure that the operation process follows defined ITIL processes and tasks to ensure an effective IT-service management.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and operate the local IT infrastructure in corporation with the Magna IT organization, consisting of

• network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WLAN)

• security infrastructure (firewall)

• server infrastructure (Windows Server, Microsoft SQL, NAS Storage, VMWare)

• monitoring IT infrastructure

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support (on-call duty may be required)

• Administrate Microsoft exchange and teams environment

• Secure IT operation and infrastructure (deputy IT security officer)

• Support company-owned applications

Who we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience in IT backend operations, especially in network and server operation (Windows Server OS, Microsoft SQL, Cisco, VMWare,…)

• At least 5 years of experience in IT security operations (firewall know-how of beneficial)

• Knowledge of client management (PC, notebook, printers, mobile devices)

• Knowledge of collaboration solutions (Microsoft Teams)

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

• Flexibility and willingness to travel to Austria for training

• Fluent in English
