VIEW JOBS 12/5/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-04T00:00 SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES The successful candidate will have proven professional experience and detailed knowledge of industry's best practices in IT Vendor Management and/or other IT Business Processes. The IT Vendor Analyst's primary responsibility is the support of IT Vendor Management processes, procedures and outcomes. The person in this role is tasked with compiling data and completing documentation for vendor-related issues, projects, contracts, or other open items, as well as ensuring that the issues that arise are appropriately captured, assessed and mitigated to acceptable levels. In addition, this role will be accountable for assisiting with the management of vendor performance through oversight of the IT Vendor Management capabilities including: Contract Management, Performance Management & Escalation, New Products & Innovation, Release/Change Management, Financial Management/Reporting, Stakeholder User Group, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, and Risk and Compliance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Support the management of on-going relationships with existing IT vendors. Assist with communications and issue resolution, as necessary. * At times, act as liaison between IT vendors and internal subject matter experts. * Assist in the supervision of Vendor Management workflow tasks to meet deadlines and requirements. * Assist with developing and implementing vendor performance evaluations, comprised of scorecards, surveys and metric reports. * Upon request, conduct review of IT contracts to identify key data points and potential risk factors. * Drive the retention and tracking of key contract data fields (e.g. renewal date, service level agreements, obligations, responsibilities, etc.) for technology agreements. * Assist with documentation of IT Vendor Management best practice policies and procedures. Seeks out and recommends process improvements to maximize efficiency of operation. * Maintain active familiarity with the IT Purchasing functions, to lend support as needed. * Provide cross-functional support and communication to internal partners, as needed (e.g. legal team, finance team). * Provide routine administrative support, upon request. * Collaborate with the Vendor Management and IT management teams to ensure IT procurement activities remain compliant to Vendor Management program standards. * Control, organize and track all vendor price lists in a central location accessible to internal stakeholders * Works accordingly with various departments to continually improve processes with Technology Service Providers * Assist with the identification and classification of IT vendor risks and apply results to Risk components of the IT Vendor scorecard * Assist in resolving issues raised by service providers, management, and Lines of Business stakeholders * Maintain all vendor agreements and associated documents PROFESSIONAL * Prioritize and manage workload in order to deliver quality results and meet deadlines * Support a positive work environment that promotes service to business partners, and quality, innovation and teamwork to ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest * Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency for continuous improvement for enterprise relationship management * Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units * Establish effective relationships across business partners and program/project managers * Possess and demonstrate effective communication skills/habits, both written and verbal OTHER DUTIES * Accepts other duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES * Strong relationship and interpersonal skills * Strong organizational abilities * Strong computer and analytical skills * Ability to work in fast-paced environment and balane multiple priorities * Familiarity with IT Governance and Vendor Management concepts * Strong ability to communicate with IT users and business leaders to understand requirements, expectations and value measures * Advanced knowledge of tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio) QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * Education: College graduate or suitable equivalent degree in a related field preferred. * Experience: A minimum of three to five years' business experience. Previous experience in the financial services industry, risk management, vendor management or contract management a plus. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES Required annual compliance training. RECOMMENDED ADDITIONAL TRAINING/EDUCATION Ongoing education of vendor strategy and service offerings. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. TRAVEL This position requires some travel between Columbia, Orangeburg, and Charleston.
