Azure Solution Architect

Expected to lock into our methodologies and process mentoring aspiring solution architects.

About you:

• Proficient in designing, selling and implementing cloud-based solutions.

• Adept at negotiation, building relationships and telling the story to clients to help them understand why they would benefit from Avanade's solutions.

• Emotionally mature and a humble leader, recognizing and valuing individual team member skills.

• Enjoy being hands-on with current technologies, when needed, and act as a steadfast mediator between business needs and the team.

• Can communicate priorities and expectations clearly and concisely, and are open to team opinions, while also confident in making decisions.

• Might possess a degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or another relevant field in the industry. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice.

What you'll do:

• Articulate our solutions by taking technical detail and elevating it into an executive conversation to help clients understand why they would benefit from partnering with Avanade.

• Leverage your familiarity with Azure's cloud application architecture to design and implement solutions that are tailored to the Azure ecosystem.

• Utilize your experience with cloud patterns to modernize applications, employing both Azure native services and cloud-native architectures, including microservices and digital decoupling strategies.

• Take responsibility for the estimation, sales process, and execution of Cloud Modernization projects.

• Apply your deep knowledge of Azure Infrastructure to effectively build new cloud applications or modernize legacy applications by dismantling monolithic applications.

• Combine your technical expertise with sales acumen to propose solutions to key stakeholders, ensuring that these solutions align with desired business outcomes.

• Distill application architectures into approved patterns for deployment in Azure.

Skills and experiences:

• Cloud Application Modernization experience and experience in one or more paradigms such as .NET, Node, Angular, React, Python, etc.

• Familiarity of the 300+ Azure PaaS services for application modernization.

• Knowledgeable on Microservices and Digital Decoupling of applications.

• Experienced with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), PowerShell and other automation technologies including deploying applications to cloud via DevOps Pipelines.

• Demonstratable expertise with Infrastructure as code and general cloud networking concepts (e.g., Security, Express Route, VPN, VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, RGs, etc.)

• Experience with cloud native architectures, which may include PaaS services, containerized cloud architectures, virtual machine provisioning & management, and data Integration and storage in Azure and ability to recommend modernization in Azure.
