Azure Data Warehouse Architect

You will be the primary data architect for our Azure Cloud Data Warehouse and Analytics environment with a strong focus on data modeling.

Youll join and provide leadership to a strong, dynamic, and evolving team. What you’ll do You will be responsible to lead the design & implementation of an Azure Analytics Platform by participating in all phases of the solution lifecycle with a strong focus on data modeling.

Your goal will be to deliver high quality solutions that meet the needs of multiple business stakeholders.

Youll be involved in all aspects of the development processes, including testing, troubleshooting and support activities. The team follows an Agile Kanban methodology, so it is essential that you promote an environment of open communication and actively convey progress, challenges to making progress, and enhancement suggestions. We have team members throughout the country and internationally, and your ability to successfully collaborate with remote colleagues will be key.

Although youll work a typical Monday-Friday schedule, there may be occasional meetings that are conducted in the evening or early morning to accommodate other time zones. Must be able to express complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to understand and improve business processes • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solution design/concepts and tasks for the engineers • Ability to work with internal application owners and downstream data consumers to understand and interpret requirements • Ability to communicate challenges and resolutions to business users and technical teams • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders What you’ll need • World class data modeling architect including Star Schema/Kimball dimensional modelling • Should possess strong experience in identifying slowly changing dimensions, role playing dimensions and hierarchies • World class ability to translate customer requirements into an analytics data model • Expert SQL • Proficient DAX • Experience with the following tools o Azure Microsoft Databases o Power BI o Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines o Tabular cubes Other experience • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels to develop technical solutions • Projects requiring heavy integration • Mentoring & leadership to junior teammates • Demos, scoping, validating and estimating • Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies • Master Data Management (MDM) • 10 years data & analytics experience A bit about us Digital Realty supports the worlds leading enterprises and service providers by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
