Azure Data Engineer

Azure Data Engineer· Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of Irving, TX

• Periodic travel to client sites is expected.

• The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Machine Learning, or a closely related field.

• In addition, at least five (5) years of experience as an Azure Data Engineer, or in a similar role in a technology or IT consulting environment.In this role, you will: design and set-up projects that bring together information from a variety of sources to enable analysis and decision-making; utilize personal knowledge to plan and deliver data warehouse and storage; take part in designing and running bespoke data services to individual projects; design, develop, adapt, and maintain data warehouse architecture and relational databases to support data mining; customize storage and extraction, meta-data, and information repositories; create and use effective metrics and monitoring processes; monitor key performance indicators to determine where current operations can be improved, and identify the causes of any problems; create the building blocks for transforming enterprise data solutions; design and build modern data pipelines, data streams, and data service Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); and create and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, and scanned reports, as well as other information portals and resources.To Learn more about the types of projects our Software Engineering team works on check out these case studies:

Find out more about some of our benefits [1] here.[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc. seeking an Azure Data Engineer in Irving, TX to deliver analytics and business intelligence solutions to our clientsA qualified applicant's experience must include: 5 years of experience performing data engineering, warehousing, publishing and visualization throughout the full data lifecycle; 3 years of experience data profiling, cataloguing, and mapping to enable the design and build of technical data flows; 2 years of experience defining ETL architecture and ETL process design; 2 years of experience performing end-to-end implementation of data warehousing analytics solutions built on MS or Azure platforms; 4 years of experience working with cloud services including Azure, AWS, or Informatica cloud IICS; and 3 years of experience using DPM specific tooling including: Spark, Python, Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF).
