Position Description:

At CGI Federal's Emerging Technology Practice, we are looking for Azure Cloud Engineer or Architect to deliver IT excellence and create innovative solutions in the Cloud. Work with fellow AWS and Azure team members to form the best minds in cloud solutions and give innovative solutions to our clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Candidate is expected to support our government client in Microsoft Azure deployments, lift & shift migrations and innovative cloud solutions. The Cloud Engineer or Architect should be able to design and execute architecture blueprints and bring it to reality with a DevSecOps mindset & culture.

Candidate should be able to build and configure build plans, code pipelines and create automated solutions that can be frame worked and re-used. Finally, the candidate should become subject matter exports and evangelize the latest technologies and tools to provide better efficiency and solution to other teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Candidate is expected to have considerable experience using the following technologies:

Azure Resource Manager

Azure IaaS, PaaS offerings and services in Azure Commercial, GovCloud and DOD regions

Communicate in a DevOps environment with your team, managers, business units and stakeholders.

Embrace and focus on emerging technology and evangelize to the rest of the team

Understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is strongly desired

Needs to have the ability to develop and contribute in an IaC environment while working seamlessly in a distributed team via collaboration tools

Must own ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and keep current with industry certifications

Knowledge in Puppet/Ansible is highly desirable


Azure certification

Docker, AWS, Atlassian Suite products like Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/Bamboo, Terraform, Consul, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microservice architecture, Python, Lambda, FedRAMP knowledge

Due to the nature of the government contract, US Citizenship is required.

Superior Completion Services is currently seeking Associate Engineers to join our team in Lafayette, LA/Houston, TX. Summary The Associate Engineer is an entry level engineering position that immerses recent engineering graduates with strong mechanical aptitude in all aspects of Completion Services' operations and technology. Time is spent with each of the departments within the division, located in both Lafayette, LA and Houston, TX, including Assembly & Field Operations, Field Engineering, Design Engineering, and Applications Engineering. While in each department, the Associate Engineer will train on various technical and non-technical activities through hands on participation, with the goal of building a general understanding of processes, procedures, equipment, market and engineering principles of Superior Completion Services and the industry. This is a structured training program which entails continuous OJT (on the job training) wherein the AE is responsible for providing support that entails performing detailed calculations, detailed writing of procedures, design, qualification testing, equipment assembly, factory acceptance testing, inspection, reporting and detailed documentation. The AE will have a mentor throughout the various phases of the program and will use case studies, SOP's and technical manuals as a guide. The AE is required to directly participate and assist specialists and engineering in the field or shop to accomplish ongoing job operations and help direct or coordinate onsite support staff as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Job shadow and actively participate in each job function and/or role that the AE is assigned to * Some of the job functions or roles are within the following departments: Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Tool Operations (Shop and Field) * Support assembly shop and field operations in preparing and running equipment. * Participate and investigate job incidents * Report on engineering research projects * Develop or assists in documenting and writing of reports on projects or studies * Gather, organize, perform calculations and evaluate data for pertinent projects and reporting of the same with conclusions as necessary * Participates in the discussion of planning a critical performance test for a part of equipment that needs to be qualified to specifications, may write the procedure to perform the test * Participate in technical society (SPE, API, etc.) functions, study groups, etc. Minimum Requirements * Strong understanding of basic engineering principles * Strong mechanical aptitude * Must be able to plan and track project timelines * Excellent communication skills: must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees and clients * Ability to work in common computer programs * Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form * Ability to identify problems and evaluate solutions * Ability to travel 50% of the time between locations for training purposes (Houston, TX; Lafayette, LA; On and Offshore Field Locations) * Relevant oil and gas industry experience is a plus Education * Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering Technology is required.
