Position Description:

CGI is seeking a business analyst to work with one of our key clients in South Carolina. As part of a fast paced, global team, you will assist users of BI technology. The focus leverage data warehousing in an Azure Cloud environment.

This opportunity requires candidates to be located within the United States, at one of our CGI office locations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Transform raw data into relevant insights via interactive and simple-to-understand dashboards and reports.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Create Calculated Columns and Measures in Power BI and Excel depending on the requirement using DAX queries.

  • Create and maintain Analysis services objects such as cubes, dimensions, measures.

  • Implement row level security on data and application security layer models in Power BI

  • Responsible for optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures to improve the performance time

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Intelligence Developer, with a successful track record of building BI capabilities within an organization.

Intermediate to advanced (or you can say proven) experience with cloud-based BI platforms and technologies, particularly Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Analysis Services.

Experienced with Azure Data Factory for data movement and orchestration.

  • Knowledge of working with Azure Blob Storage for storing unstructured data.

  • Experience with Databricks:

  • Proficiency in using Databricks, a managed platform for running Apache Spark.

  • Ability to create and manage notebooks, clusters, and jobs within Databricks.

Python (Preferably PySpark):

  • Strong Python skills, especially for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Ideally, experience with PySpark, which allows Python code to be executed on Spark clusters.

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence concepts, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.

  • Experience in architecting and implementing end-to-end BI solutions on Azure, including data integration, modeling, and reporting/visualization tools.

  • Solid understanding of database management systems, data integration techniques, and data governance principles, with a focus on Azure services.

  • Data analysis, visualization, interpretation, and business intelligence skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions within the Azure environment.

Experience with Databricks:

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,000 - $130,600.
