About role:

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced AWS Solutions Specialist (Pre-Sales) to join our Ingram Micro team and support our growth plans. As a key player, you will develop and drive AWS-centric opportunities, support our commercial teams, and ensure successful handover to internal technical delivery teams.

Key responsibilities include owning, developing, and driving AWS-centric opportunities, supporting our commercial teams through the sales, and successful handover to the internal technical delivery teams. Where an opportunity falls outside of a Solutions Specialist technical discipline, they are responsible for engaging with the appropriate internal or third-party resources to ensure a coherent and fit-for-purpose solution is proposed. Other key responsibilities of the role include acting as the interface between the internal sales and technical teams, acting as an evangelist of our AWS-centric portfolio of services and capabilities to our channel partners, vendor, end-customers, and internal stakeholders along with being integral to the identification and development of our solutions offerings.

Responsibilities, Supporting Actions:

  • Provide technical leadership in AWS-centric pre-sales meetings and qualification calls.

  • Own and lead AWS-centric opportunities, managing the technical response and solution sizing.

  • Develop architectural solutions by understanding customer challenges and requirements.

  • Lead solutions workshops with end-customers and assist in creating their strategic technology roadmap.

  • Ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to delivery at project kick-off meetings.

  • Review and sign off on technical solutions for consistency.

  • Identify and support additional Ingram Micro service and sales opportunities.

  • Develop regional AWS services propositions, solutions, and GTM strategies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal SMEs and the wider Ingram Micro team.

Essenital Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • AWS Associate Certification (Professional and Specialty Certifications are desirable).

  • 3+ years of experience in AWS pre-sales or delivery roles.

  • Expertise in AWS Optimization Licensing, MAP, and Well-Architected Framework.

  • Proficient in compute services, monitoring tools, and CI/CD tools.

  • Experience with IaC tools, containers, orchestration tools, and VPCs/Networking.

  • Knowledge of Gen A/I, Machine Learning, and migrations from VMware/Azure.
