The AWS Engineer has a "can do" attitude and is a subject matter guru, trusted advisor and cloud services authority, who implements tools, processes and methods, and develops systems that utilize AWS clouds to support enterprise adoption of our managed Cloud service offerings. A successful candidate will understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation, define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS, and serve as technical leader for major development projects including development of devices in new technology or multiple simultaneous sub-projects.
RequirementsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three (3) years of hands-on AWS solution delivery working with EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Kubernetes, Auto Scaling, ECS, Snowball, EBS, VPC, ELB, API Gateways, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and SSO
Experience developing code in Java and be familiar with Java CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Cloudbees, and Maven
Understanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies
Experience with migrations to the Cloud, from both Physical & Virtual environments
In depth understanding of authentication and authorization services
Ability to understand and support network, system and application security hardening, penetration testing, and continuous monitoring
Bachelor Degree required or additional 5 years of relevant Information Technology experience accepted in lieu of degree
AWS Certifications highly preferred
Federal Background Investigation REQUIRED please read.
The selected candidates for this position must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated government background investigation.
