ECS is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to work in our Washington, DC office.
Job Description:
Interested in joining a dynamic team providing mission critical technical consulting and implementation support to our valuable DoJ partner? As a part of our highly skilled technical team supporting this Agile project you will:
Work hand-in-hand with our AWS Solutions Architect to configure and implement existing on-prem data warehouse infrastructure to AWS.
Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities.
Work closely with application technical teams to ensure successful roll out of the solution to the cloud.
Automate infrastructure provisioning.
Follow DevOps best practices to define deployment architecture.
Pursue container-based solution architecture consistent with industry best practices.
Provide architectural and design input for network provisioning, connectivity, and security.
Set-up network and security stack infrastructure such as WAFs, Firewall rules, network security groups, virtual networks, subnets, ExpressRoute, and AWS DirectConnect
Manage, update, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure, security, and application environments.
Salary Range: $175,000 - $192,000
General Description of Benefits
Required Skills:
At least 3+ years of DevOps experience
Proficiency in CI/CD tools (i.e., Gitlab runner, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Github Action etc.)
Best practice knowledge with setting up automated pipeline triggers
Proficiency with IaC tools (i.e., Chef, Ansible, Salt, Terraform, pulumi, AWS CDK, etc.)
Proficiency with GitOps
Skilled in Linux
Experience with coding languages such as python
Understanding of Data Warehousing and back-end databases preferred
Active Top-Secret clearance required
100% on-site in Washington, D.C.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with security tools such as ACAS scanners and remediation
Familiarity with system logging
Basic understand on networking and routing
Understanding of SLDC
