AWS Big Data Architect

As an AWS Big Data Architect, you will be at the forefront of architecting and provisioning enterprise-level Cloud services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using AWS and Data Lakehouse Platform services.
• Leverage AWS services (S3, Kinesis, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Lambda, etc.) and Apache Spark for advanced data processing and analytics.
• Develop and maintain data lakes and data warehouses, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost efficiency.
• Automate data workflows and ensure high data quality and reliability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues.
• Implement data governance practices and ensure high standards of data quality.
• Provide ongoing support for the platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Create documentation and train team members on platform infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in big data analytics, data engineering, or related roles.
• Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses and understanding data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, Scala) and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
• Extensive experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Education:

• BS in Computer Science, IT, Software or Computer Engineering, Data Science or Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
