Fenwick is seeking an experienced writer and project manager to lead our awards and honors program as part of the marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting our attorneys and accomplishments with leading awards organizations and publications to increase rankings, visibility, and recognition. This position can be based in any of our offices with Mountain View/San Francisco (CA) being preferred.
Oversee, manage and administer the Firm's awards and honors and survey submission program, while helping standardize the nominations and submissions process.
Assist in developing and executing the Firm's strategy for nominations and submissions, rankings and league tables.
Identify and track opportunities for the Firm and its attorneys to submit for awards and honors as well as to respond to surveys on diversity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility, pro bono and other strategic investment areas.
Create, draft, organize and facilitate nominations, submissions and references for the Firm's surveys, awards and directory listings.
Coordinate and staff interviews with legal directories and organizations.
Maintain a calendar of deadlines related to submissions for legal directories, surveys and awards.
Keep updated list of current client references, practice/industry group experience and representative matters for proposals, directory submissions, website updates, etc.
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual summary of honors and recognitions - analyzing performance and trends and communicating results to internal and external audiences.
Update award and survey organizations with news and developments (e.g. new attorney hires, practice group updates, etc.).
Manage, prepare and update attorney biographies as needed.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.); advanced research skills required.
Presentation skills with the ability to plan, develop and deliver a thoughtful and substantive presentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to proactively provide solutions to prevent anticipated problems.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and be highly organized.
Strong client service ethic and the ability to react quickly and handle shifting priorities and requests from attorneys and leadership at all levels.
Self-motivated, takes initiative, and capable of staying productive and accurate in a deadline-driven environment (a sense of humor helps, too).
Reporting to the Sr. Public Relations Manager, the ideal candidate will have 5+ years of business development, communications or marketing experience. Proven track record of working directly with senior partners and attorneys on awards planning, tracking, execution and reporting. Preferred experience producing submissions for Chambers, Legal 500 and other lists and awards - either from within a legal directory environment in a research or editorial capacity, and/or within a legal or professional services environment. Bachelor's degree required.
