Scale of the Business:6 internal boutiques, 19 Specialist Retail doors; (Retail, Specialist Retail, Client Development & Network Operations functions)
MAIN FOCUS ANDCHALLENGE:
The Regional AVP is accountable for leading and building the iconic Cartier Maison in this strategically critical market. Reporting into the SVP Commercial, in the regional headquarters in New York, the Regional AVP is tasked with translating the global and regional brand strategy to meet the specific market opportunities across his/her region.
Specifically, this person will lead the regional team to drive sales and to implement clienteling strategies to engage its diverse client. Creating a superior and consistent experience for the Cartier client across this highly dispersed regional market is of critical importance. Leveraging the strong, high-functioning regional team currently in place is key to effectively managing the geographically far-reaching region.
The Regional AVP also faces opportunity to build on the brand's local and regional initiatives (Retail, Specialist Retail, Prestige). He/she is responsible for maintaining and championing the core values of the Maison while attracting, developing and inspiring a team of top talent.
This is a defining position for a "true Omni-channel Retailer" that will allow the individual to represent and lead a quintessential Luxury brand in a key market. The Regional AVP will bring an optimism, drive and energy to the team and will draw from deep expertise growing a Luxury retail business. Sustained success in this role will position the individual for future opportunities within the Richemont organization.
Management: Leading6 boutiques and 19 POS, drive sustainable top and bottom-line growth across all product categories through exceptional and consistent client service; Continued gain of market share; Ensure continued elevation of brand and brand longevity through best-in-class Retail & Omni-channel practices.
Commercial: Identify and execute on existing and new opportunities for Cartier across the local market. Think and work creatively with the North America team to elevate sales and client service practices (i.e., clienteling, VIP programs, etc.) to further grow the brand's share of the Luxury category.
Leadership: Provide leadership to engage and energize the team to achieve key performance objectives through teamwork and streamlined processes; inspire and empower an organization by leveraging its creative culture while introducing and embedding relevant new tools.
Organization Building: Develop and attract a high-performing team; ensure alignment to produce a superior client experience and winning brand propositions.
Product: Support the regional merchandising team by communicating the opportunities and needs of the Cartier brand in the region.
Strategy: Act as local expert by developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, surrounding community and important events, trends, etc. Align with regional North America headquarters and/or Paris headquarters to hone a longer term vision and strategy for the Maison in the region that identifies and plans for opportunities beyond the current business. Participate as key member of the Commercial team and bridge between Commercial and Corporate/Expert partners to ensure the initiatives from Corporate New York and/or Paris are appropriately tailored to his/her Region.
Brand: Serve as the brand ambassador and represent the brand among Luxury circles in the regional and local markets. Develop ideas for fresh communications and public relations programs to elevate the brand in the mind of the Cartierclientele, as well as new potential clients, while creating a consistent brand message across channels.
Qualifications & Experience
Expert Stores Leader: Functional depth in retail strategy and operations of meaningful scale; a true P&L owner; general management mindset; core expertise in driving sales and creating a compelling in-store experience for the Luxury consumer; as well as leading and developing others across a multi-store network. Understands clienteling evolution, client experience/service (inclusive of omni approach), talent development, and differentiated store experience (design/client animation).
Cartier Maison Affinity: Personal passion for the Cartier Maison, story, product and client. Deep Luxury affinity; product sensibility, refinement; brings the Cartier Maison to life through in-store and service experience and teams closely with New York teams to translate the global strategy for the North American Market. Ideally has deep experience working within Luxury Apparel.
Customer Experience Innovator: Deeply understands and prioritizes the Cartier client (current and target); serves as the emblem for a superior Cartier client experience; creates and introduces innovative new services, merchandising strategies and selling programs to reflect the brand and engage the customer in distinctive and compelling ways
