US Branded Cards is a market leader in the credit card industry providing payment and credit solutions to approximately 34 million customer accounts. The Branded Cards Financial Planning and Analysis Team is a critical component of the Global Consumer Finance team, providing analytical and strategic support to the US Branded Cards CEO
The Branded Cards FP&A Team is looking for highly analytical and dynamic individual to join a growing team in support of the CCAR process. We are seeking an individual who preferably brings prior Card Experience (not a requirement) and is eager to contribute within a challenging yet exciting environment. The well matched candidate will provide integrated business CCAR support heavily dependent upon establishing strong working relationships with internal business partners and cross-functional teams. He/she should be detailed oriented, organized, possess strong critical thinking skills, and bring an analytical mindset to the role, while being comfortable with its technical aspects. Areas of focus will include model development and validation, analysis of macro-economic scenarios on business actions and consumer behaviors, meaningful challenge of model results and consideration of required overlays, and senior management presentations.
Assist in the CCAR PPNR forecast and documentation process (2 cycles a year), including Loan Drivers, Loan Balances, Revenue, Expense and other Balance Sheet and Off Balance Sheet items, aligning with corporate requirements while meeting the Business needs.
Partner with Treasury, Business, and Risk teams to continually enhance US Branded Cards CCAR models and forecasting approach, appropriately aligning model drivers to both business inputs and macro-economic variables.
Provide effective review and challenge of model outputs working closely with business partners to calibrate the models until statistically relevant and business intuitive results are achieved
Prepare and deliver presentations regarding CCAR results to senior management incorporating business specific and macro-economic context as appropriate.
Ensure successful Ruby Plan and MYF Upload and Reconciliation.
Assist in Recovery Planning in modeling, forecasting, challenge and review process as well as preparing senior review material
Support Resolution Planning in data gathering, validation and other ad hoc requests
Ensure proper procedures and control processes are in place
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
2-3 years of relevant industry experience, Financial Services experience preferred. (CCAR experience is a plus)
Strong quantitative/analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to details
Positive Attitude, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally within a complex business
Ability to work independently with a proven track record of solving problems and delivering solutions
Experience working effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment within a matrix organization
Demonstrated strengths in building trusted relationships and managing multiple projects and deadlines
Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills (VBA and Access a plus)
Knowledge of systems/programming like Hyperion, SAS, Essbase, etc. a plus.
