Directs the financial reporting function to meet regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
Directs statutory reporting to ensure the timely, accurate completion of financial reports for required filings
Leads reinsurance accounting, reporting and analysis.
Presents financial analysis and reporting information to management on a quarterly, monthly and annual basis
Stays abreast of financial reporting and regulatory developments which can impact the company and ensures compliance with all state regulations
Directs team in advanced problem solving and complex analysis
Oversees multiple projects; initiates and coordinates process improvements
Oversees the functionality and control procedures around financial reporting processes, systems and applications
Manages managers and associates within the function including talent management, coaching, objective setting, feedback, appraisals and development planning
May develop and monitor department budget

Knowledge & Experience
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
CPA, CFA, MBA or similar designation required
10-12+ years related experience required
Managerial experience required
Analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with the highest levels of the organization; ability to effectively and clearly communicate and influence others
