Job Description:

Oversees the development, coordination and administration ofresearch policies, services and programs. Oversees, evaluates and ensuresefficient and effective operational performance as related to research. Participatesin the development and implementation of Service Line's financial and strategicplanning activities around research. Facilitates quality improvementinitiatives and integration of Health System values.
1.Strategic Planning

  • Researches,develops and coordinates the implementation of strategic plans, policies andstandards regarding research to include maximizing market share, growthstrategies, expense control, space allocation, and technological equipment andinformation systems purchases.

  • Promotesquality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development ofimproved research procedures, process innovations and changes which support thestrategic direction.

  • Plans andimplements the utilization of information resources to support the strategicdirection and operations of research.
    2.Operations

  • Oversees,evaluates and ensures efficient and effective operational performance.

  • Reviewscomprehensiveness of the research scope on an on-going basis and developsstrategies for program adaption to market changes.

  • Coordinates,develops and executes public relations and communication programs for the

Health System's internal and external audiences.

  • Directsthe research, development and implementation of marketing policies, plans andprocedures which capitalize on current and future research marketopportunities.

  • Directsthe management and development of professional contacts and community supportthrough identifying and developing new research initiatives and opportunities.

  • Evaluatesand directs the assessment of services and development of new researchprograms, sponsors, and research projects on an on-going basis and supportsstrategies for program adaptation to market changes.

  • Identifiesnew research opportunities, tests new ideas and ensures implementation.
    3.Financial Management

  • Participatesin planning, organizing and coordinating financial policies and practices tocontrol revenues, disburse funds and conserve assets.

  • Monitorsfiscal operations including, fiscal accounting, reporting and control; billingand payroll; third party reimbursement and contracting; regulatory costreporting, internal auditing and budget coordination and forecasting.

  • Establishesand standardizes financial management systems to support research financialreporting requirements.

  • Worksdirectly with the Grants Management Office on negotiating contracts and budgetsfor new clinical trials.
    4.Human Resources Management

  • Directsthe implementation of Human Resources plans to achieve strategic goals andobjectives including organizational development, recruiting, compensation,training and development, employee engagement and relations.

  • Selects,develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the selection,development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
    5.Technology

  • Reviewsand directs the planning, design, implementation and support of informationsystems, networks, and applications to support research operations.
    6.ComplianceManagement

  • Ensurescompliance with federal, state, and local regulations, tax laws, and regulatoryagency standards of compliance and Health System's Corporate ComplianceProgram.

  • Interpretsand standardize fiscal and regulatory reporting standards to ensure compliancewith government and regulatory reporting and third-party agencies.

  • Ensurescompliance to established disaster response and recovery plans to ensurepatient safety and business continuity.
    7.BusinessDevelopment

  • Directsthe management and development of professional contacts and community supportthrough identifying and developing new business initiatives and opportunities.
    8.Research

  • Evaluatesand directs the assessment of services and development of new programs andresearch projects that support strategic operational goals.
    9.Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, HealthcareAdministration or related field, required.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years progressively responsible seniormanagement experience in related field, required.

Oversees all leasing's transactions Strategic Planning * Negotiates and develops strategies for a variety of real estate transactions. * Develops and communicates creative solutions and mitigation strategies for key business points. * Assists in the management of internal stakeholders and provides updates to senior leadership. * Assists the Vice President of Leasing in the development and preparation of real estate strategic plans and acquisition budgets. * Assists the Vice President of Leasing in overseeing the development, coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and performance of operating policies and procedures. Financial Management * Negotiates complex agreements for the purchase, lease, and sale of clinical, office, warehouse, and other property required by the Health System. * Responsible for structuring real estate acquisitions and leases to facilitate Health System occupancy at the lowest cost. Operational Performance * Manages transactional due diligence process, including environmental, land use, and other factors. * Assists in managing site selection process, including working with brokers, internal stakeholders, attorneys, and consultants. * Reviews and assists in the preparation term sheets, leases, and other business agreements. * Prepares summary memos and other materials needed to convey information and recommendations effectively. * Reviews and finalizes Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and assists in selection of consultants and development partners. * Responsible for recommending to the Vice President the best project teams for projects, including architects, attorneys and other professionals. * Manages and evaluates direct reports. Technology * Reviews and directs the planning, design, implementation and support of corporate wide information systems, networks and departmental applications. Standards Compliance * Ensures compliance with federal, state and local rules, regulations and laws and Joint Commission standards. * Interprets and standardizes all fiscal and regulatory reporting standards to ensure compliance with government and regulatory reporting and third-party agencies. HR Development * Directs the implementation of Human Resources plans to achieve strategic goals and objectives including organizational development, recruiting, compensation, training and development, and employee engagement and relations.
