Job Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) position is responsible for overseeing the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects within the Wealth Management organization. The main emphasis of this position will be the Investment Product and Platform integration workstream for M&A and large deal activities that support the firm's growth strategy.

This position requires strong execution, organizational, and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple bodies of rapidly evolving work simultaneously, and the demonstrated capability to define, develop, and execute plans. Having a strong work ethic, being an effective communicator, possessing advanced project management skills, and knowledge of advisory platforms and investment products will be imperative to the success of any individual in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation and management of project plans and facilitating project meetings primarily focused on the investment product and platform integration workstream for M&A and large deal activities. Elements include:

  • Overseeing contra-firm investment product and platform integrations (e.g. mapping to LPL investment product offerings for direct business, custodied brokerage, and advisory).

  • Tracking progress, risks, actions, issues, and dependencies across the workstream.

  • Providing reports/updates to the Integration Joint Governance team.

  • Identifying and raising any investment risks and watch-outs to key decision makers.

  • Work efficiently with individuals at all levels from the various business units within the organization.

  • Quickly identify, develop mitigation, and implement remediation for emerging problems and risk.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present materials to the highest levels in the organization, and the ability to frame complex issues which may impact expected project results.

  • Having the experience, presence, and poise to command the respect and trust of various level of the organization and other highly driven and independent professionals is necessary.

  • Thriving in a fast-paced team atmosphere with the confidence to adjust and adapt as priorities change.

Core Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of investment products including advisory platforms, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Annuities, UITs, Alt Invs, SMAs, etc.

  • Proven track record leading projects and/or programs in a growth organization and ability to manage concurrent complex projects and prioritize delivery.

  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business partners at the highest levels inside and outside of the organization complex project environment.

  • Broad range of agile, SAFe 5.0, change management, program management, business, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage program risk through risk identification, quantification, and control using formal program management practices.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a financial-related discipline.

  • 5+ years of related professional project management experience in the financial services/brokerage industry.

  • PMP certification

  • Series 7 certification

Pay Range:

$99,080-$148,620/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
