AVP, Project Management Office

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision, project management strategies, and processes for the PMO in alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate project management practices into overall business strategy.

  • Establish and maintain PMO governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistent project execution and delivery excellence

  • Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring projects are prioritized, resourced, and delivered on time and within budget. Implement and maintain project management methodologies and standards.

  • Build and lead a high-performing project management team. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for PMO staff.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, status reports, and risk assessments to relevant stakeholders.

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with projects. Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

  • Allocate and optimize resources to ensure efficient project execution. Monitor and report on resource utilization and project performance.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO. Evaluate and enhance project management processes and methodologies.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project and portfolio success. Report on project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership as required.

  • Lead complex projects and programs from idea to implementation by providing strategic direction and thought leadership to stakeholders, leveraging resources, and driving risk mitigation strategies.

  • Design and execute project implementation plans, manage critical metrics and deliverables, and lead technical reporting to assess key financial impacts and ROI.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, facilitating process improvements and ensuring successful delivery of key projects.

  • Lead change management efforts related to project implementations, ensuring smooth transitions, stakeholder buy-in, and adoption of new processes or technologies.

  • Create a culture of project management excellence through training, mentoring and professional development opportunities for PMO staff and project teams.

AVP, Project Management Office

  • Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree required in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration. MBA\MS a plus.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred. Lean/Sigma certification a plus

  • Excellent understanding of project management concepts around waterfall and agile management.

  • Prior Experience:

  • 10-12 years of EPMO leadership experience with business process management, applications delivery, development, design, configuration, release management, validation, operations, governance, production, and support expertise within a complex setting.

  • Proven track record in project and program management, expertise in financial management, resource management, and organizational change management methodologies and tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of systems architecture, governance frameworks, and industry best practices. Multi-disciplinary information, process, data, and technology background covering engineering, architecture, automation, integration, data management, advanced analytics, cloud, and others.

  • Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding

  • Experience in change management, risk management and vendor management.
