Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

Responsible for comprehensive analytical and project management support of credit and fraud activities across CareCredit private label and dual card markets. Fraud activities will require closely working and coordinating with Credit Acquisition Strategy, Credit Acquisition Infrastructure, Operations, and IT to deliver the best fraud solutions for CareCredit. Provide analytics support and work cross functionally to ensure credit/acquisition strategies are performing as expected. Provide reporting and analysis across multiple portfolios to include Retail & Dual Card expansion, delinquency/loss mitigation, enforcement of Credit policies, and portfolio monitoring. Assist with loss forecasting and pacing including vintage forecasts, loss mitigation plans and loss trending models. This role will be responsible for ad-hoc and diagnostic (deep-dive) analytic requests in addition to one-off reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Effectively drive projects through successful use of influencing skills across all functions. Provide and analyze data in order to create compelling business cases in support of minimizing risk and loss, while continuing to grow the portfolio responsibly and support expansion efforts.

  • Lead and support enhanced strategies using champion/challenger to manage credit and fraud risk

  • Close tracking and analysis of True Name Fraud and Synthetic Identity fraud while working on mitigating strategies, solutions and tools

  • Use knowledge of consumers, clients, and risk processes to identify and mitigate any operational risks for the portfolio

  • Clearly communicate results of complex data analysis to leadership team

  • Drive CareCredit loss forecasting, reporting and communication to CareCredit, Chief Credit Officer and key stakeholders as needed

  • Identify and mitigate risk associated in cross functional projects related to expansion efforts.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of work experience in Risk/Credit/Analytics role utilizing complex data analysis skills, or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 9+ years experience in a Risk/Credit/Analytics role utilizing complex data analysis skills.
  • 2+ years work experience with Advanced SAS/SQL

Desired Characteristics:

  • 4+ years in consumer or commercial Credit/Risk role or relevant business experience

  • Strong project management, communication, and analytics skills.

  • Experience operating as part of a cross functional team

  • Use of advanced technical & analytical competencies in driving effective strategic goals

  • Familiarity with consumer lending products and practices

  • Experience using Python and/or R programming languages

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
