The US Region Risk Management organization is aligned with and embedded in our businesses to help appropriately manage risks arising from our products, services and business operations. The US Risk Management team is responsible for supporting and overseeing all US Lines of Businesses and MetLife Holdings operations. This team, along with business management, ensures that effective risk management is embedded in day to day operations and reflected in our business strategies, and related activities. The teams also represent the businesses in enterprise risk discussions to ensure their voice is reflected in decision making.
The US Operational Risk Management Assistant Vice President will support the Head of US Operational Risk and Governance in the design and implementation of MetLife's operational risk management framework within MetLife's Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) and MetLife Holdings businesses. He/she will partner with:
Enterprise Operational Risk Management to ensure alignment to MetLife's enterprise-wide framework, standards and practices;
First line of defense business partners to ensure effective implementation of the framework; and
Other risk assurance functions (e.g. Compliance, Internal Audit, etc.) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational risk profile of the businesses, including key risk exposures and the overall control environment.
This associate will play a critical role in the implementation of MetLife's Enterprise operational risk management framework to support the RIS and MetLife Holdings businesses in identifying, monitoring and managing key operational risks to enable achievement of our business strategy and objectives.
Assist in the implementation of MetLife's enterprise-wide operational risk management framework and key practices within the company's US Lines of Business and support functions
Oversee adherence to MetLife standards and industry best practices applicable to risk identification and assessment frameworks
Support the implementation and business adoption of MetLife's enterprise Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform
Coordinate, manage and facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across the US Lines of Business and related support functions
Manage risk and control inventories supporting the RCSA process, including top risk reporting and tracking
Facilitate emerging operational risk identification and assessment activities
Support operational risk loss event capture, analysis, monitoring and reporting for US Lines of Business
Oversee and track remediation of key operational risk issues to ensure control gaps are appropriately addressed
Assist in the design, collection, tracking and reporting of key operational risk metrics for senior leadership and the US Operational Risk Committee
Oversee strategic initiatives supporting the US Lines of Business and support functions to ensure risks associated with such initiatives are properly identified, understood and managed

Professional designation preferred (e.g. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst, Member of Society of Actuaries, Chartered Financial Analyst)
